$105.9M for more Up-Armored Vehicles

The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command, Warren, MI recently issued a pair of modifications to firm-fixed-price contracts for M1117 “Guardian” Armored Security Vehicles and M1114 Up-Armored Humvee Chasis. Both of these “up-armored” vehicle options are in sustained demand in the Iraqi theater.

Textron Marine & Land Systems in New Orleans, LA received an $86.9 million modification to a contract for M1117 Guardian Armored Security Vehicle. Work will be performed in New Orleans, LA and is expected to be complete by Feb. 28, 2006. This was a sole source contract initiated on Sept. 23, 1994 (DAAE07-99-C-S001). See all DID M1117 coverage.

AM General L.L.C. in South Bend, IN received a $19 million modification to a contract for M1114 Chassis for the High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicles. The M1114 is the up-armored version. Work will be performed in South Bend, IN and is expected to be complete by Dec. 31, 2007. This was a sole source contract initiated on July 17, 2000 (DAAE07-01-C-S001). See all DID M1114 coverage.
