The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia (DSCP) in Philadelphia, PA has awarded $132.6 million worth of fixed-price with economic price adjustment contracts for U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and federal civilian agencies for food service equipment and incidental services in the continental United States (CONUS) and beyond. Many of the recipients qualify as small businesses. These contracts have a base year and 4 one-year options, with the base year coming to an end on June 15, 2006.

Small business qualifier Dietary Equipment Co., Inc. of Columbia, SC. won a maximum $16 million contract for Zone 2 – CONUS West (SP0500-05-D-BP09). There were seventy-five (75) proposals solicited and seven (7) responded

Small business qualifier FEM Food Equipment Marketing, Inc. of Rockville, MD won a maximum $16 million contract for Zone 3 – OCONUS East, Offenburg, Germany (SP0500-05-D-BP10). There were seventy-five (75) proposals solicited and six (6) responded.

Small business qualifier Gill Marketing, Inc. in Phoenix, AZ won a maximum $12 million contract for Zone 4 – OCONUS West (SP0500-05-D-BP11). There were seventy-five (75) proposals solicited and five (5) responded.

JAL Enterprises, Inc., DBA The Source in Hampton, VA won a maximum $22 million contract for Zone 5 – Maritime East (SP0500-05-D-BP12). There were seventy-five (75) proposals solicited and five (5) responded.

Small business qualifier Gill Marketing, Inc. in Phoenix, AZ won a maximum $30 million contract for Zone 6 – Maritime West (SP0500-05-D-BP13). There were seventy-five (75) proposals solicited and eight (8) responded.

In related news, small business qualifier Y. Hata & Co., Ltd. in Honolulu, HI won a maximum $12.6 million firm-fixed-price contract for Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and federal civilian agencies: Job Corps Center for a full line food distributor. This is an indefinite quantity contract with an 18-month contract base year periodlasting until February 22, 2007. Proposals were Web-solicited and two (2) responded.
