$19.3M to Booz Allen for US Navy Advanced Telecom and IT System Support

Booz Allen Hamilton in McLean, VA received a $19.3 million modification to a previously awarded cost-plus-fixed-fee contract (N00421-09-C-0016) for technical and engineering services for communications-electronics advanced technology (CEAT) systems supporting the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division’s (NAWCAD) Special Communications Requirements Division.

Booz Allen will perform the work in Lexington Park, MD (70%) and St. Inigoes, MD (30%), which it expects to complete by August 2010. NAWCAD in Patuxent River, MD manages the contract.

CEAT includes a wide-array of telecom and IT systems…

The CEAT systems include analog and digital, communication/telecommunication, voice, data, and video – including video teleconferencing, distance learning, briefing and display systems – imagery, information warfare, cyberwarfare, virtual labs, distributed processing, neural and information network systems, subsystems and equipment. These systems are employed on various air, shore, manpack/handheld, transportable, boat and vehicular platforms.

Under the original contract, Booz Allen will provide research, design, development, integration, installation, test and evaluation, fielding, analysis, maintenance, training and logistics support for US Navy, US Army, US Air Force, US Special Operations Forces, US Joint Services, and other federal agencies’ CEAT systems.
