American Auto Logistics (AAL) in Park Ridge, NJ received a $207.4 million firm-fixed-price modification to a previously awarded contract [pdf] for transportation and storage of US military’s privately owned vehicles (POVs).
AAL operates 40 vehicle process centers and 8 long-term storage facilities in the United States, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia…
AAL performs logistics functions required to move POVs belonging to US military from CONUS to OCONUS destinations. These functions include processing, booking and shipment via GDS ocean carriers; customs inspections and agriculture clearances; and drayage and storage of the POVs.
AAL will perform the work under the contract modification at its worldwide locations. The contract modification term runs through Oct 31/10. United States Transportation Command’s Directorate of Acquisition at Scott Air Force Base, IL manages the contract (DAMTOI-03-D-0184).
