Engineering Services Network (ESN) in Arlington, VA received a $47 million contract to provide information technology service support to the 75th Air Base Wing at Hill Air Force Base in Utah.

The 75th Air Base Wing is responsible for base operating support of all units at Hill AFB.

Hill AFB is home to the Ogden Air Logistics Center, which provides worldwide engineering and logistics management for the F-16 Fighting Falcon fighter jet, A-10 Thunderbolt II close air support aircraft, and Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile. The base performs depot maintenance of the F-16, A-10 and C-130 Hercules transport aircraft.

The 75th Air Base Wing, 1 of 4 wings under the Ogden Air Logistics Center, supports all wings of the center, 2 fighter wings, and 46 other associate units. The 75th Air Base Wing also has base support responsibility for the 1,500-square-mile Utah Test and Training Range (UTTR).

The UTTR is located in north-western Utah and eastern Nevada. It is contained within the Great Salt Lake Desert, approximately 70 miles west of Salt Lake City. Mission Control facilities are located off-range at Hill AFB. The UTTR is characterized by variable desert terrain that includes undulating sand dunes, mountains rising abruptly from the desert floor, and rolling hills building up to mountain ranges.

The range provides the largest overland safety footprint available in the US Department of Defense for aircrew training and weapons testing. It supports training customers with capabilities for air-to-ground, air-to-air, and ground force exercises.

At this time, $10.3 million was obligated under the ESN contract. The 75 CONS/PKA at Hill AFB manages the contract (FA8201-10-F-A006).
