Barton Malow Gets $40.9M to Renovate Galleys at U.S. Naval Academy

Barton Malow Co. in Linthicum, MD won a $40.9 million firm-fixed price contract to renovate the King Hall Galley and midshipmen food service operations at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD. The company will also provide temporary food service facilities while the galleys undergo renovations.

The company expects to complete contruction by August 2011. Funds are provided by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. This contract was competitively negotiated via the Navy Electronic Commerce Online website with 10 proposals received by the Naval Facilities Engineering Command in Washington, DC (N40080-09-C-0165).
