NAVFAC Awards Up to $75M in Construction Contracts for Southwest Asia, Africa

The Naval Facilities Engineering Command awarded 4 indefinite-delivery/ indefinite-quantity multiple award construction contracts to AMEC Earth & Environmental in Plymouth Meeting, PA (N33191-09-D-0118); American International Contractors in Arlington, VA (N33191-09-D-0119); United Infrastructure Projects in Dubai, UAE (N33191-09-D-0120); and Kooheji Contractors W.L.L. Manama in the Kingdom of Bahrain (N33191-09-D-0121) for design and construction, renovation or repair of facilities, waterfront or airfields throughout Southwest Asia and Africa.

The maximum dollar value, including the base period and 4 option years, for all 4 contracts is $75 million. The companies will perform construction work in Bahrain (50%), Djibouti (40%), and UAE (10%), and expect to complete the work by July 2014. This contract was competitively procured via the European Navy Electronic Commerce Online website with 8 proposals received by the NAFAC Europe and Southwest Asia in Naples, Italy.
