STG received a $39 million, 2-year contract to deliver information assurance (IA) services to the US Army Information Systems Engineering Command’s (USAISEC) Information Assurance Systems Engineering Directorate (IASED).
Under the terms of the contract, STG will provide IA support services for several IASED customers, including Program Executive Offices, US Army Corps of Engineers, Department of Defense (DoD) and other federal agencies.
IA includes not only computer and network security, but all measures that protect and defend information and information systems by ensuring their availability, integrity, authentication, confidentiality, and nonrepudiation.
Located at Fort Huachuca in Arizona, USAISEC provides system engineering and integration of information systems for the US Army. This work includes the design, engineering, integration, development, sustainment, installation, testing, and acceptance of information systems. USAISEC is a subordinate command of the US Army Communications-Electronics Command (USACECOM).
USAISEC’s Information Assurance and Security Engineering Directorate provides the US Army with information assurance, security engineering, certification, and support capability to ensure that information systems, networks, and infrastructures are properly secured, certified, and accredited.
To support the USAISEC tasks, STG will perform IA engineering, discovery and certification visits from its Sierra Vista, AZ facility. STG will conduct research, engineering and network testing of servers and platforms.
