PPG Industries in Pittsburgh, PA (N00189-10-D-0007) and Sherwin-Williams in Cleveland, OH (N00189-10-D-0006) each received an indefinite-delivery/ indefinite-quantity with fixed unit price contract to provide marine coatings approved for US Navy shipyards.

Each contract contains a 1-year base period with 3 one-year option periods. The combined value of the contracts, if all options are exercised, would total $35.1 million…

PPG Industries is receiving a base amount of $2.0 milion, with an estimated value if all options are exercised of $10.5 million. Sherwin-Williams is receiving a base amount of $4.5 million, with an estimated value if all options are exercised of $24.6 million.

The companies will perform the work in Puget Sound, WA (66%); Norfolk, VA (11%); Pearl Harbor, HI (15%); and Portsmouth, VA (8%), and expect to complete it by December 2010.
