Dick Corp. Wins $79M Contract to Enlarge Pensacola Facilities

The Dick Corp. in Large, PA received a $79 million firm-fixed-price contract for construction of two multi-story buildings at Naval Air Station Pensacola. These facilities will include visitor’s quarters, construction of an Aviation Rescue Swimmer School training facility, a physical fitness center to serve officer and enlisted personnel, plus option items for collateral equipment and intrusion detection equipment.

Work will be performed in Pensacola, FL and is expected to be completed by May 2007. The contract was competitively procured as a two-phase design/build solicitation via the NAVFAC e-solicitation website with 10 offers received. Four offerors were requested to provide proposals in Phase II, and two offers were received at closing. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Southern Division in North Charleston, SC, issued the contract (N62467-05-C-0099).
