The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia (DSCP), Philadelphia, PA recently issued almost $550 million worth of contracts for fixed-price with economic price adjustment contracts for Meal Ready to Eat (MRE) and Humanitarian Daily Ration (HDR) sets, on behalf of the US Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and federal civilian agencies.

There were 3 proposals solicited and 3 responded. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year, and the date of performance completion is December 31, 2006. contract winners included:

  • Small business qualifier AmeriQual Group, LLC in Evansville, IN received a maximum $200.3 million contract (SPM3S1-06-D-Z103).
  • SOPAKCO Packaging in Mullins, SC received a maximum $182.8 million contract (SPM3S1-06-D-Z104).
  • The Wornick Co. in Cincinnati, OH received a maximum $163.8 million contract (SPM3S1-06-D-Z105).
