General Dynamics Information Technology received a 5-year, $140 million task order to provide enterprise information technology (IT) support to the US Coast Guard Telecommunication and Information Systems Command (TISCOM). The company will provide a range of enterprise IT support services for both unclassified and classified networks for land-based and mobile telecommunications, electronics and information systems. Located in Alexandria, VA, TISCOM provides telecommunications, electronics, and information systems support to the Coast Guard… The Command is the Coast Guard’s lead developer of voice and data communications systems. TISCOM is organized into 10 divisions: Administration, Ceremonial Honor Guard, Facilities Engineering, Workstation Engineering, INFOSYS Operations, Information Assurance, Telecommunication Operations, Network Engineering, Radio Systems and DMS (Defense Message System). The GDIT task order was issued under the Enterprise Acquisition Gateway for Leading-Edge Solutions (EAGLE) contract (HSHQDC-06-D-00024).
