$140M to General Dynamics for US Coast Guard IT Support
General Dynamics Information Technology received a 5-year, $140 million task order to provide enterprise information technology (IT) support to the US Coast Guard Telecommunication and Information Systems Command (TISCOM).

The Command is the Coast Guard’s lead developer of voice and data communications systems. TISCOM is organized into 10 divisions: Administration, Ceremonial Honor Guard, Facilities Engineering, Workstation Engineering, INFOSYS Operations, Information Assurance, Telecommunication Operations, Network Engineering, Radio Systems and DMS (Defense Message System).
The GDIT task order was issued under the Enterprise Acquisition Gateway for Leading-Edge Solutions (EAGLE) contract (HSHQDC-06-D-00024). Under the EAGLE contract, General Dynamics provides IT services, technical and management expertise, and products in the following 4 functional categories for the US Department of Homeland Security:
- infrastructure engineering design, development, implementation, and integration
- operations and maintenance
- software development
- management support services
US Coast Guard was 1 of 22 existing governmental departments that were added to the Department of Homeland Security when it was established in 2003.
