$7.3M for F-16 Avionics

Honeywell International in Phoenix, AZ received a $7.3 million firm-fixed-price contract to provide for remanufacture of various F-16 Avionics Components. Solicitations began in July 2005 and one proposal was received; negotiations were complete September 2005, and work will be complete by September 2010. The Headquarters Ogden Air Logistics Center at Hill Air Force Base, UT issued the contract (FA8212-05-D-0006).

Cleaning up Lejeune

Small business qualifier Bristol Environmental and Engineering Services in Anchorage, AK received a $6 million firm-fixed-price contract for environmental remediation of munitions training ranges located at Camp Lejeune and its satellite sites. This requirement is for the cleanup of unexploded ordinances (UXO), munitions, and target debris, and includes the relocation of berms and the clearing and re-vegetation of the ranges.

CIT Awarded Up To $29.4M for UAV Studies

The California Institute of Technology in Pasadena, CA received a $5.9 million cost-reimbursable contract to support the Naval Postgraduate School’s Center for interdisciplinary remotely-piloted aircraft studies. Work will include technical, engineering, and scientific services for atmospheric and oceanographic research, and will be performed in Monterey, CA (30%); miscellaneous locations (30%); Guthrie, OK (20%); San Diego, CA (10%); and Pasadena, CA (10%).

This contract includes 4 one-year options, which would bring the total estimated value of the contract to $29.4 million if exercised. Work is expected to be complete by September 2006, or September 2010 with all options. This contract was a non-competitive procurement through Navy Electronic Commerce Online, with one offer submitted to the Fleet and Industrial Support Center in San Diego, CA (N00244-05-C-0066).
