$440M for JASSM Support in USA and Abroad

Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control, Orlando, Fla., is being awarded a $440,000,000 indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract to provide for Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missile (JASSM), an indefinite delivery/ indefinite quantity life-cycle support including program upgrades, production sustainment, integration, testing and studies. Specific examples include but are not limited to: F-15 integration, foreign Military Sales, and product upgrade verification. The Air Force can issue delivery orders totaling up to the maximum amount indicated above, although the actual requirements may be less than the amount indicated above.

Work will be performed at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control in Orlando FL, and Lockheed Martin Corporation in Troy, AL. Solicitations began February 2006, negotiations were complete May 2006, and work will be complete by May 2012. The Headquarters 308th Armament Systems Wing at Eglin Air Force Base, FL issued the contract (FA8682-06-D-0072).

USA’s ULCANS Contract: Up to $1.73B for Multi-Spectral Camouflage Nets (updated)

The U.S. Army has awarded a pair of contracts for the production of Ultra Light-Weight Camouflage Net Systems (ULCANS). The ULCANS system used by the U.S. Army consists of one hexagonal and one rhomboidal screen, available in both woodland and desert version. It features a simplified interconnect system and effective snape disrupters. These multi-spectral camouflage nets offer improved concealment for vehicles and field positions by masking visual, thermal, near infra-red and broadband radar signatures.

Contracts have been issued to camouflage specialists Saab Barracuda LLC and GMA Cover Corporation. The entire contract is potentially worth $1.73 billion over ten years.
