USAF Completes Awards for $1.9B DESP II Contract

The Headquarters Ogden Air Logistics Center at Hill Air Force Base, UT has awarded the $1.9 billion indefinite-delivery/ indefinite-quantity Design and Engineering Support Program II program contract, with a total of 10 more winners. According to the sources DID talked to, no new companies will become part of the DESP II contract so this is the last of the announcements and the 20 companies listed below are it. The contract is not to exceed $1.9 billion over a five-year period (including last year) for all 20 companies.
The contract, dubbed Design and Engineering Support Program (DESP II), has a wide scope aimed at technology and engineering services. The purpose of the contract is to provide rapid, high quality engineering and technical services to the Air Force Air Logistics Center, Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC), the Army’s Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM), Department of Defense agencies, and other government entities (e.g., NASA, DOT, DOS, EPA, OSHA, etc).
Work will be complete in June 2012, and there was one error in the announced roster that was clarified when we talked to Ogden Logistics Center. All DESP II winners are listed below:
