$203M to Lockheed Martin to Operate Fort Bragg Logistics Center

Lockheed Martin received a task order to manage the Field Logistics Readiness Center (FLRC) at Fort Bragg, NC. The task order is valued at $203 million over a 5-year period of performance and was awarded under the multiple award indefinite-delivery/ indefinite-quantity Field & Installation Readiness Support Team (FIRST) contract. There is a $9 billion ceiling for all task orders issued under the FIRST contract [PDF], according to the U.S. Army Contracting Agency.

$10.7M to W.G. Yates to Build Little Rock AFB Education Center

W.G. Yates & Sons Construction in Philadelphia, MS won a $10.7 million firm-fixed-price contract to build an education center at Little Rock Air Force Base in Jacksonville, AR. Little Rock AFB is known as the home of combat airlift. W.G. Yates expects to complete the work by November 9/10. Bids were solicited on the Web with 10 bids received by the U.S. Army Engineer District in Little Rock, AR (W9127S-09-C-6005).

NextiraOne Federal Gets $9.8M Contract to Upgrade White Sands Network

The U.S. Army Contracting Agency Information Technology, e-Commerce and Commercial Contracting Center awarded to NextiraOne Federal (dba Black Box Network Services) in Herndon, VA a $9.8 million task order to upgrade and expand the voice switching environment at White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico. The task order was awarded under a 5-year indefinite delivery/ indefinite quantity infrastructure modernization (IMOD) contract awarded in 2006 under the Installation Infrastructure Modernization Program (I3MP).

$15.6M to Whiting-Turner for Marine Corps Parris Island Barracks

The Whiting-Turner Contracting Co. in Raleigh, NC won a $15.6 million firm-fixed-price contract to build a new open bay barracks facility at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, SC. Whiting-Turning will provide the design and construction of the barracks and a battalion aid station, associated storage, utilities, parking, site improvements, built-in equipment requirements, access, and anti-terrorism force protection.

Whiting-Turner expects to complete the work by December 2010. This contract was competitively procured via the Navy Electronic Commerce Online website, with 18 proposals received by the Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Southeast, in Jacksonville, FL (N69450-09-C-1766).
