The Korte Company in St. Louis, MO won a $23.7 million firm-fixed-price contract for the design and construction of an U.S. armed forces reserve center complex in Round Rock, Texas. Korte expects to complete the facility by July 01/11. For this contract, 46 bids were solicited with 5 bids received by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Louisville District (W912QR-09-C-0030).
Supporting facilities include site preparation, paving, fencing, covered wash rack, anti-terrorism/force protection measures, privately owned vehicle and military equipment parking, and extension of utilities to serve the project.
HDR Architecture in Chicago, IL received a $10 million option on a previously awarded indefinite-delivery/ indefinite-quantity contract (N40083-08-D-0065) for architectural and engineering services at Naval Station Great Lakes. The current total estimated contract amount, after exercise of this option, is $20 million.
