US Defense Energy Support Center Awards Up to $904M in Fuel Contracts

The Defense Energy Support Center (DESC) in Ft Belvoir, VA, has awarded up to $904 million in fuel contracts to 7 firms.

The fixed price with economic price adjustment contracts are for aviation and other types of fuel for delivery in the USA as well as Pakistan and Afghanistan. DESC is part of the US Defense Logistics Agency.

$98M to Jacobs Technology for Technical Support at Eglin AFB

Jacobs Technology in Tullahoma, TN received a $98.1 million indefinite delivery/ indefinite quantity contract modification to provide Technical, Engineering and Acquisition Support (TEAS) at Eglin Air Force Base, FL and various tenant organizations. The Air Armaments Center (AAC) at Eglin manages the contract (FA9200-07-C-0006 P00031).

At the time of original contract award in December 2006, the contract had a potential value of $495 million over a 5-year period. This modification is the exercise of the 3rd 1-year option on the contract.

Up to $100M in NAVFAC Design Service Contracts for Medical Facilities

RLF & Sherlock, Smith & Adams Joint Venture in Winter Park, FL (N62470-09-D-9042); Smith Group & URS Group Joint Venture in Washington, DC (N62470-09-D-9043); and HDR Architecture in Alexandria, VA (N62470-09-D-9044) won indefinite-delivery/ indefinite-quantity multiple award contracts for design services for medical facility projects located throughout the Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) area of responsibility worldwide. The maximum dollar value, including the base period and 4 option years, for all 3 contracts is $100 million.

Work will be performed at various US Navy and US Marine Corps medical facilities and other government facilities. This contract was competitively procured via the Navy Electronic Commerce Online website with 19 proposals received by the Naval Facilities Engineering Command Atlantic in Norfolk, VA.
