Up to $100M to SCI for Mobile and Tracked Vehicle Communications Equipment

SCI Technology in Huntsville, AL won a $55.9 million indefinite-delivery/ indefinite-quantity, firm-fixed-price contract to provide tactical communication equipment for US military mobile wheeled and tracked vehicles. This contract includes options which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of the contract to an estimated $100 million.

SCI Technology will perform the work in Huntsville and expects to complete it by August 2010. If all options are exercised, work could continue until August 2012. This contract was competitively procured via the FedBizOpps web site and the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command E-commerce web site, with an unlimited number of proposals solicited and 1 offer received. The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center (SPAWARSYSCEN) Atlantic in Charleston, SC manages the contract (N65236-09-D-3582).

NAVFAC Awards $90M in Paving Contracts for USMC Facilities in North Carolina

The US Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Mid-Atlantic awarded indefinite-delivery/ indefinite-quantity multiple award construction contracts to 8 contractors for paving and civil-type projects at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point and all outlying fields, Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune (including New River Air Station), and other military and government installations/sites in North Carolina.

The maximum dollar value, including the base period and 4 option years, for all 8 contracts is $90 million. The term of the contracts is not to exceed 60 months, with an expected completion date of August 2014. The contracts were competitively procured via the Navy Electronic Commerce Online website, with 12 proposals received. The 8 contractors may compete for task orders under the terms and conditions of the awarded contract.

Anderson Drace to Build $14.5M Dormitory at Kessler AFB

Small business qualifier Anderson Drace Joint Venture in Gulfport, MS won a $14.5 million firm-fixed-price contract for construction of a dormitory at Keesler Air Force Base (AFB) in Biloxi, MS. Anderson Drace expects to complete construction by June 2011.

This contract was competitively procured via the Navy Electronic Commerce Online website, with 8 proposals received by the Naval Facilities Engineering Command Southeast in Jacksonville, FL (N69450-09-C-0770).

Kessler AFB, which was badly damaged by Hurricane Katrina in 2005, is the home of the 81st Training Wing – the electronics, computer and weather training center of the US Air Force…

Hana Group Provides Regional Security to US Naval Facilities in Hawaii

Small business qualifier Hana Group in Honolulu, HI received a $12.6 million modification under a previously awarded firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/ indefinite-quantity contract (N62478-07-D-2311) for regional security services at Commander Naval Region Hawaii, Pearl Harbor; Naval Station Pearl Harbor; Naval Magazine Lualualei; and Naval Communications Telecommunications Area Master Station Wahiawa.

Under the contract modification, Hana Group will provide entry control point (ECP) services such as identification checks, fixed vehicle inspections, commercial vehicle inspections, and emergency ECP closures; and roving guard services such as surveillance detection and mobile vehicle inspections. The total contract amount after exercise of option 2 will be $36.6 million.

Hana Group expects to complete the work by September 2010. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command Hawaii in Pearl Harbor, HI manages the contract.
