$25M to GS Engineering for SOF Ground Mobility Vehicle Support

Small business qualifier GS Engineering in Houghton, MI won a $25 million indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity task order contract to supply systems test support services for US Special Operations Forces (SOF) [PDF] ground mobility vehicles. Approximately 40 task orders will be issued per year during the 5-year period of this contract.

The majority of the work will be performed at the contractor’s facility in Houghton and is expected to be completed by Sept 4/14. The contract was awarded on a competitive basis as a small business set-aside action by the US Special Operations Command Procurement Division (H92222-09-D-0050).

The ground mobility vehicle is 1 member of the SOF tactical vehicle family.

STS to Supply Quad-S Maritime Sensor Capabilities to US Navy

STS International in Berkeley Springs, WV won a $23.3 million cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for operational capabilities for the surface and subsurface surveillance system (Quad-S). Quad S is a multifunction surveillance system that can be used in both military expeditionary operations and homeland security missions.

STS will perform the work in Tampa, FL and expects to complete it by September 2014. This contract was competitively procured via Navy Electronic Commerce Online and FedBizOpps websites, with 3 proposals received by the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NAVSEA) Panama City Division in Florida (N61331-09-C-0020).

Clark Gets $27.7M Contract for USMC Air Station Miramar Prison

Clark Construction Group in Costa Mesa, CA received a $27.7 million firm-fixed-price contract for design and construction of a prison at US Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Miramar in California. The facility will absorb prisoners from other correctional facilities scheduled for closure due to the 2005 Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) Act.

Clark will perform work in Miramar, CA, and expects to complete it by February 2011. This contract was competitively procured via the Navy Electronic Commerce Online website, with 5 proposals received by the Naval Facilities Engineering Command Southwest in San Diego, CA (N62473-09-C-1808).

MCAS Miramar is a 23,000-acre installation located in the northern suburbs of San Diego…
