$119M to Harris for Falcon III Handheld Radios for M-ATV Program

Harris Corp.’s RF Communications Division in Rochester, NY received orders totaling $119 million to supply Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS)-approved Falcon III AN/PRC-152-C handheld radios with the RF-5980-SA001 vehicle amplifier adapters for the Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) all-terrain vehicle (M-ATV).

The AN/PRC-152 [pdf] provides M-ATV users with multiband Single Channel Ground and Airborne Radio System (SINCGARS) and Demand Assigned Multiple Access (DAMA) satellite communications interoperability in the 30-512 MHz frequency bands…

$42M to Dell Perot Systems for US Army Rock Island Arsenal C4IM Support

Dell Perot Systems’ Government Services Business Unit in Fairfax, VA received a five-year, $42 million agreement to provide command, control, communications, computer and information management (C4IM) services to the US Army’s Rock Island Arsenal in Illinois.

On Nov 3/09, Dell completed its $3.9 billion acquisition of Perot Systems.

Perot Systems had previously provided C4IM services to the Rock Island Arsenal to help the Army implement a number of IT initiatives, including consolidating the base’s Directorate of Information Management (DOIM) centers into a single DOIM while migrating the base’s networks to the Army’s 1st Area Processing Center (APC)…

Sperry Gets $10.9M Order to Support US Navy Integrated Bridge Systems

Northrop Grumman’s Sperry Marine business unit in Charlottesville, VA received a $10.9 million modification to a previously awarded contract (N65540-06-D-0009) for engineering and technical services and equipment in support of Sperry Marine-manufactured integrated bridge systems and steering/ ship control systems installed on US Navy vessels and at land-based test facilities.

The work will involve analysis, repair, alteration, maintenance, and production improvement on existing integrated bridge systems and steering/ ship control systems…

US Foodservice to Provide Food Distribution for US Facilities in CA, NV

The Defense Supply Center in Philadelphia, PA is exercising the 1st option period on a firm-fixed-price, indefinite-quantity/ indefinite-delivery contract (SPM300-08-D-3228) [pdf] worth up to $43.6 million for US Foodservice in Livermore, CA to provide full-line food distribution services.

Under the contract, US Foodservice provides full-line food distribution services to US military and US Job Corps facilities in northern California and Nevada.
