Katrina (click to view full) The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in New Orleans, LA has issued a series of contracts related to restoration, repair, and planning work along the Gulf Coast. These three contracts have a total value of $47.4 million. Manson Gulf L.L.C. in Houma, LA received an $11.7 million firm-fixed-price contract for Chaimette Area Plan Emergency Restoration. Work will be performed in Houma, LA and is expected to be complete by April 1, 2006. Bids were solicited via the World Wide Web on Oct. 5, 2005, and 8 bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in New Orleans, LA issued the contract (W912P8-06-C-0004). Continental Construction Inc. in Memphis, TN received a $5 million firm-fixed-price contract for hurricane protection construction for repairs and modifications to the Inner Harbor Navigation Canal West Side to France Road. Work will be performed in Orleans Parish, LA, and is expected to be complete by April 15, 2006. There were 25 bids solicited on Oct. 14, 2005, and 6 bids were received (W912P8-06-C-0018).
