Boeing Tapped For EA-18G | DoS Approved Super Tucano Support Sale To Lebanon | US Approved HH-60W Sale To Norway

Boeing won a modification, which increases the contract ceiling to continue to provide non-recurring engineering support to integrate the Next Generation Jammer Low Band Pod System onto the EA-18G platform. The support includes design and qualification of platform A-kit provision, aircraft/pod system physical interface analysis, wind tunnel test, ground vibration test, technical directive development and verification, and all logistics product data to support the program life cycle. Work is expected to be completed in November 2026. No funds will be obligated at the time of the award; funds will be obligated on individual orders as they are issued. This contract was not competed pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1. Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Maryland, is the contracting activity.

The US Army has contracted MyDefence to deliver over 400 counter-unmanned aerial systems (C-UAS) to detect and track a broad spectrum of drone threats. Valued at $26 million, it is the most significant order received by the Danish firm to date. Under the contract, 485 wearable C-UAS systems have reportedly been acquired for US Army operations in the US European Command (EUCOM) and other combatant commands worldwide.

Middle East & Africa

The US State Department has approved a potential $100 million sale to Lebanon for maintenance services and support equipment for the A-29 Super Tucano aircraft, the Pentagon announced in a statement Friday. The Super Tucano is a multi-mission aircraft used for training and light attack operations. According to the statement, the “government of Lebanon has requested to buy support equipment, and other related elements of a logistics program and support.”

Europe

The United States on Friday announced the approval of a $2.6 billion sale of HH-60W combat rescue helicopters and related equipment to Norway, a NATO ally that borders Russia. “The proposed sale will improve Norway’s capability to meet current and future threats by increasing its airborne combat and special operations capabilities,” the US Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) said in a statement.

Asia-Pacific

The Indian Army has outlined a modernization plan focused on hypersonic weapons, cyber capabilities, and other advanced systems, Asian News International reported. Crucial technologies include hypersonic glide vehicles and next-generation missiles.  The roadmap was presented by Lieutenant General Amardeep Singh Aujla at a defense technology conference, where he emphasized the need for closer coordination between the military, government, and industry.
