Lockheed Tapped For Israel F-35s | DoS Approves NASAMS Sale To Egypt | Thailand/Cambodia Clashes

Lockheed Martin won a $33.3 million modification, which increases the contract ceiling to provide cut in for Block 4 type vision effectivity development capability under the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter aircraft for Israel System Development and Design Phase II efforts to include software development and systems engineering. Work will be performed in Fort Worth, Texas (80%), and undisclosed locations outside the continental U.S. (20%), and is expected to be completed in July 2026. Foreign Military Sales customer funds in the amount of $7,661,140 will be obligated at the time of award, none of which will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Maryland, is the contracting activity.

MPC Products Corp. won a $9 million contract for the repair for 150 control assemblies in support of the F-18 aircraft. The contract does not include options. All work will be performed in Niles, Illinois, and is expected to be completed by July 2026. Fiscal 2025 working capital (Navy) funds in the full amount of $9,817,200 will be obligated at time of award, and funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. One company was solicited for this non-competitive requirement pursuant to the authority of 10 US Code. 2304(c)(1) and one offer was received. Naval Supply Systems Command Weapon Systems Support, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is the contracting activity.

The US State Department has approved the potential sale of a surface-to-air missile package worth $4.67bn to the government of Egypt, the Pentagon has announced. In a statement on Thursday, the Defense Security Cooperation Agency said it had agreed to a “possible Foreign Military Sale” of a National Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile System (NASAMS) package, including four AN/MPQ-64 Sentinel radar systems, hundreds of missiles, and dozens of guidance units.

The United States announced Friday that it is providing a $4 billion loan guarantee for the purchase of American military equipment by Poland, which borders both Russia and war-torn Ukraine. “Poland remains one of America’s strongest and most dependable allies in Europe — a front-line nation on NATO’s Eastern Flank and a leader in defense investment,” State Department spokeswoman Tammy Bruce said in a statement announcing the Foreign Military Financing (FMF) for Warsaw.

Thailand and Cambodia clashed for a fourth day Sunday, despite both sides saying they were ready to discuss a ceasefire after a late-night intervention by US President Donald Trump. The Southeast Asian neighbors, popular destinations for millions of foreign tourists, have been locked in their bloodiest conflict in years over their disputed border, with at least 34 people confirmed killed and more than 200,000 displaced.
