General Atomics won a $11 million modification provides for the procurement, transportation, and installation of delta support equipment at seven operational sites, as well as associated non-recurring engineering in support of flight and strike operations of the Marine Air Ground Task Force Unmanned Aircraft System Expeditionary Medium Altitude Long Endurance MQ-9A Block 5 Reaper air vehicles and Ground Control Stations for the Marine Corps. Work will be performed in Poway, California; Saber Springs, California; and Grey Butte, California, and is expected to be completed in September 2025.
Lockheed Martin. Missiles won a $176 million contract modification to previously awarded contract FA8682-23-C-B001 for the exercise of options for an additional 61 Lot 8 Long Range Anti-Ship Missiles with containers being produced under the basic contract, and initial spares. The modification brings the total cumulative face value of the contract to $621,381,541. Work will be performed at Orlando, Florida; and Troy, Alabama, and is expected to be completed by July 18, 2027.

The Nigerian Air Force is set to elevate its capabilities with the recent delivery of the first batch of two TAI T-129 ATAK attack helicopters from Turkey. Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law revoking Russia’s ratification of the Nuclear Test Ban Treaty (CTBT), against a backdrop of conflict in Ukraine and a crisis with the West. The document, which was published on the official legal information portal, had been approved by the upper house of the Russian parliament at the end of October. Russia says the aim is to restore parity with the United States, which has signed but never ratified the 1996 treaty, and that it will not resume testing unless Washington does.

Indonesia has again failed to notify the South Korean government of its financial plan for contributing to the KF-21 fighter project, jeopardizing this collaborative endeavor. The Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA), South Korea’s arms procurement agency, expressed its concerns as Indonesia failed to provide the expected payment schedule by the end of October, further straining the partnership.
North Korea has provided Russia with over one million artillery rounds to use in its war with Ukraine, with Pyongyang appearing to receive advice on satellite technology in return, a South Korean lawmaker said Wednesday, citing Seoul’s spy agency. Russia and North Korea, who are historic allies, are both under a raft of global sanctions — Moscow for its invasion of Ukraine and Pyongyang for its testing of nuclear weapons.
