Northrop Grumman Technical Services in Herndon, VA received a $50 million cost-plus-fixed-fee contract extension to provide operation and maintenance services for the US Navy’s combined tactical training ranges.
The combined tactical training ranges provide a live and virtual environment to support a range of Navy tactical aviation training requirements.
Northrop Grumman provides the following services to the Navy’s combined tactical training ranges:
* depot-level repair services – radar overhaul
* operations and maintenance support
* range and communications engineering
* range operations and scheduling
* security and safety
* supply operations – support
* integrate ranges and instrumentation for aircrews and shipboard personnel
* radar, threat emitter operations and maintenance
Northrop Grumman will provide services at shore sites, land-based test facilities, and aboard ships in ports and at sea.
Northrop Grumman is in the 5th year of providing services under the indefinite delivery/ indefinite quantity contract, which was awarded in 2005. The contract is valued at $217 million over 5 years. Northrop Grumman is the prime contractor whose teammates include Arcata Associates in Las Vegas, NV; Westech International, Albuquerque, NM; Veteran Enterprise Technology Services, Tucson, AZ; and Chugach Management Services in Anhorage, AK.
Work will be performed in Fallon, NV (40%); Yuma, AZ (25%); Cherry Point, NC (17%); Oceana, VA (10%); Key West, FL (4%); and Beaufort, SC (4%). Work is expected to be complete by April 2011. Northrop Grumman release.
Contract funds in the amount of $3.6 million will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured by the Port Hueneme Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center, at Port Hueneme, CA (N63394-10-C-5006).
