$9.1M to Upgrade USN Destroyer Surface Radars

DRS Surveillance Support Systems Inc. in Largo, FL received a not-to-exceed $9.2 million firm-fixed-price modification to previously awarded contract (N00024-03-C-4003) for production of 15 V(5) back-fit kits for the AN/SPS-67 Radar System program. The AN/SPS-67 is a surface target search radar carried on the DDG-51 Arleigh Burke class destroyers – see interactive Flash schematic. Work will be performed in Largo, FL and is expected to be complete by December 2008. The Naval Sea Systems Command in Washington, DC issued the contract.
