This modification adds scope to procure long lead components, material, parts, and associated support, in support of maintaining the MQ-4C Triton unmanned aircraft systems production schedule for two unmanned air vehicles and one main operating base for the Navy. Work is expected to be completed in May 2024.
Bell Textron Canada Ltd., a subsidiary of Textron Inc., has confirmed the procurement of six Bell 407GXi helicopters by the Ministry of Defense of Argentina. The purchase agreement, signed with the Canadian Commercial Corporation, strengthens Argentina’s search and rescue capabilities. The Bell 407GXi helicopters are well-suited for high-altitude environments and will be utilized by the Argentinean Air Force and Army for search and rescue missions in the country’s mountainous terrain.
Middle East & Africa
Trace Systems won an $8.6 million modification for administration, IT engineering and logistics support for United States Central Command. Work will be performed in Camp Afrijan, Kuwait, with an estimated completion date of May 30, 2024. Fiscal 2023 operations and maintenance, Army funds in the amount of $8,608,084 were obligated at the time of the award. Army Contracting Command, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, is the contracting activity.
Europe
General Atomics won an $11.7 million deal for Spain MQ-9 contractor logistics support. This contract provides contractor logistics support for MQ-9A and Mission Ground Control Station to the Spanish Air Force. The aircrew, field service representatives, transportation and depot repair/return tasks will be performed in an international location and are expected to be completed May 31, 2024. This contract involves Foreign Military Sales (FMS) to Spain.
Poland has inked a contract to buy 800 AGM-114R2 Hellfire missiles from the US. The Lockheed Martin missiles will initially be fitted with the Polish Air Force’s AW149 multi-role helicopters and eventually with the AH-64E Apaches, Deputy Prime Minister Mariusz B?aszczak announced in a tweet on Tuesday.

According to insiders familiar with the matter, an official announcement regarding the finalized joint production agreement is expected during Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming state visit to the United States on June 22.
