Boeing won a $19 million modification for the F-15 Eagle Passive/Active Warning Survivability System. The modification brings the total cumulative face value of the contract to $824,669,013. Work will be performed at Nashua, New Hampshire, and is expected to be completed by December 31, 2026. The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity.
BAE Systems has signed an $87-million contract with the US Navy to repair the dock landing ship USS Carter Hall (LSD-50). The restoration will focus on major updates to the Hall’s hull, internal fuel and ballast tanks, and engineering plant. Maintenance and preservation work will take place at BAE’s shipyard in Norfolk, Virginia, which also serves as the ship’s homeport. About 1,000 shipyard employees and dozens of subcontractor partners are expected to participate in the project.

The Turkish Navy warship TCG Kinaliada made a port call in Mogadishu on April 23. This visit is part of a larger voyage marking a century of bilateral relations between Turkey and Japan, with Somalia being one of the 20 nations included in the warship’s itinerary. The arrival of TCG Kinaliada was met with a warm reception by Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, who hailed it as a symbol of the strong fraternal relationship between Turkey and Somalia, heralding a new era for Somalia’s maritime security.

Personnel from the UK Royal Air Force (RAF) have graduated as crewmen of the Protector RG Mk1 unmanned aircraft system after completing an introductory course in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Members of the Operational Conversion Course 1 group — pilots, sensor operators, and mission intelligence coordinators — underwent extensive ground school training, mission simulator evaluation, and live flying drills to ensure flight readiness.

Queensland-based defense contractor Craig International Ballistics has received a contract to provide body armor for the Australian Defense Force. Valued at $19.7 million, the deal covers suits that can protect troops against low- and high-velocity shells and fragmentation effects. Once delivered, the equipment will be distributed to personnel operating in combat and counter-terrorism operations.
