Kihomac won a $12.5 million deal for A?10 aircraft nacelle doors. This was a competitive acquisition with three responses received. This is a five?year contract with no option periods. The performance completion date is August 31, 2028. Using military service is Air Force.
Boeing won a $7 million delivery order for the the procurement of automated pallet system pallet spares in support of the P-8 aircraft. All work will be performed in Benicia, California, and work is expected to be completed by August 2026. Working capital funds (Navy) in the amount of $3,892,207 will be obligated at time of award and funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
Middle East and Africa
The Iranian military has conducted a large-scale electronic warfare exercise against mock enemy drones, helicopters, and fighter jets. Codenamed “Shield of Velayat’s Guardians,” the drill involved various units from the Iranian Navy, Army Ground Forces, and Air Force. Domestically-made radars, drones, micro aerial vehicles, and other military equipment were deployed in the central, largely desert region of the country to participate in the training.

Finland will deliver more military aid to Ukraine to support its defense against the Russian invasion.The latest donation, approved by Finnish President Sauli Niinistö earlier this week, serves as the government’s 18th tranche of defense packages to the Ukrainian Armed Forces since Moscow’s attack. Articles included in the new assistance amount to approximately $101.56 million. Finland said that the support package is already prepared and will address the existing needs of the Ukrainian warfighters.

Japan is gearing up to design a new air-to-air missile for the next-generation fighter jets it is co-developing with Britain and Italy. The plan is to have these anti-air missiles equipped on the fighter jets upon their initial deployment in Japan by 2035, according to an insider familiar with the situation. A collaborative study involving Japan and Britain assessed the suitability of air-to-air missiles for the new fighter jets intended for Japan’s Air Self-Defense Force. The study revealed that an indigenous air-to-air missile could offer better performance at a more affordable cost compared to the European-developed air-to-air Meteor missile.
The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has expressed keen interest in acquiring advanced military equipment, particularly the Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) MK III, developed by Indian defense firms. This intent was highlighted during a recent visit by a five-member PCG delegation to New Delhi, India. Led by PCG Commandant Admiral Artemio Manalo Abu, the delegation engaged in a bilateral meeting with the Indian Coast Guard (ICG) to explore opportunities for enhanced maritime cooperation.
