Triumph Gear won a $18.5 million deal for the repair of one item that is part of the V-22 pylon conversion actuator system. All work will be performed in Park City, Utah. Work is expected to be completed by April 2025. Naval Supply Systems Command Weapon Systems Support, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is the contracting activity.
Lockheed Martin won an $11.3 million order which provides for the completion of all fabrication, hardware and software integration, documentation, and verification testing for final operational capability of the Mission Systems Test Capability systems in support of enabling multi-ship F-35 testing with a single F-35 in a ground-test environment. Work will be performed in Fort Worth, Texas, and is expected to be completed in February 2026. Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Maryland, is the contracting activity.

Raytheon and Israel’s Rafael joint venture R2S has begun constructing a Tamir missile manufacturing facility in East Camden, Arkansas, to support US and Israeli requirements. The Tamir is an interceptor commonly deployed by Tel Aviv’s Iron Dome Weapon System against other missiles and short-range artillery launched from 4 to 70 kilometers away.

French President Emmanuel Macron announced Monday new steps to boost Ukraine in its fight against the Russian invasion, saying not even the sending of Western ground troops was ruled out to achieve Europe’s goal of defeating Moscow. Speaking after hosting a meeting of two dozen European leaders to discuss Ukraine, Macron painted a grim picture of a Russia whose positions he said were “hardening” both at home and on the battlefield.

The US Department of Defense has delivered a C-130H Hercules military transport aircraft to the Philippine Air Force as part of Washington’s Excess Defense Articles (EDA) program. The aircraft flew from Waco, Texas, to the Clark Air Base in Mabalacat, Pampanga. It was piloted by a US aircrew and received by the installation with a ceremonial water cannon salute upon landing.
Shipbuilding company Austal has received a contract extension to develop two more Evolved Cape-class patrol boats for the Royal Australian Navy. The $102.9 million award is part of Canberra’s continuing patrol fleet expansion to enhance its maritime surveillance assets. Once delivered, the latest order will bring the navy’s number of Evolved Cape vessels to 10.
