US Pays $156.3M for 50 More ATFLIR Pods

ATFLIR on F/A-18C(click to view full) Raytheon Co. in El Segundo, CA received a $156.3 million cost-plus-fix-fee modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract N00019-06-C-0310. It covers 50 Full Rate Production Lot 5 AN/AQ-228 ATFLIR pods for F/A-18C/D Hornet and F/A-18E/F Super Hornet fighter aircraft. Work will be performed in McKinney, TX (76%) and El Segundo, CA (24%) and is expected to be complete in November 2009. The Naval Air Systems Command at Patuxent River, MD issued the contract.
