CVN 71: Portsmouth, VA(click to view full) Amsec LLC in Virginia Beach, VA received a maximum $142.8 million cost-plus-fixed-fee, indefinite-delivery/ indefinite-quantity single award contract to provide engineering and technical services. They will assist with planning and execution of equipment and systems overhaul and repair of equipment associated with US Navy aircraft carriers and surface ships. The labor force for this contract will be performing work on board U.S. Naval vessels located around the world, and work is expected to be complete by March 2008. Contract funds in the amount of $700,000, will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured via the Navy Electronic Commerce Online website, with 3 solicitations requested and 1 offer received by the Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center, U.S. Navy in Portsmouth, VA (N40025-07-D-7014) The following locations and%ages of work to be performed are anticipated for Aircraft Carriers: Norfolk, VA (35%); San Diego, CA (30%); Bremerton, WA (10%); Everett, WA (10%); Newport News, VA (5%); Mayport, FL (5%); and other (5%). The following locations and percentages are anticipated for Surface Ships: San Diego, CA (53%); Bremerton and Everett, WA (16%); Yokosuka, Japan (14%); Pearl Harbor, HI (11%); and Sasebo, Japan (6%).
