$1.9B to LSI for Non-standard Aircraft Parts & Support

URS subsidiary Lear Siegler Logistics International Inc. in Gaithersburg, MD received a $1.9 billion indefinite-delivery/ indefinite-quantity with fixed-price contract. This is a Foreign Military Sales (FMS) contract that will allow numerous FMS countries to purchase nonstandard and hard to support standard supply items, maintenance/ repair support, and task orders. Solicitations began March 2005, negotiations were complete August 2006, and work will be complete September 2016. The initial five-year period of performance includes a three-year base period and one two-year option period, and has a maximum value of approximately $275 million to URS. The Headquarters Air Force Security Assistance Center at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, OH issued the contract (FA8630-06-D-6000). F-4EJ ‘Kai’(click to view full) As a September 25, 2006 URS press release explains, the Parts and Repair Ordering System (PROS) III contract issues requisitions and task orders for allied weapon systems no longer supported by the US Defense Department. URS will procure replacement parts, contract for repair services, perform studies and analysis, and provide technical assistance that may include travel to the country requiring support.
