$23M to Weston Solutions for Houston-Galveston Navigation Channel Work
Weston Solutions in Houston, TX received a $23.2 million firm-fixed-price task order under a multiple award task order contract (W912BV-08-D-2012) to repair levees along the Houston-Galveston navigation channel.

The areas covered by this task order include: North and South Goat Island and Wave Trip; Evia Island; and Bolivar Marsh, including channelization of 200 acres of the marsh.
Other firms that were eligible to bid for the project were Environmental Chemical, Kellogg Brown & Root Services, and Kiewit Texas Construction.
Weston Solutions expects to complete the work by Dec 14/11. Bids were solicited on the web with 3 bids received by the US Army Corp of Engineers Galveston.
