The nozzles of a jet engine take a lot of punishment during normal operation. So the Headquarters Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center at Tinker Air Force Base, OK has issued a pair of contracts designed to support the nozzles on the high-performance F100-PW-220 series jet engines that power many of America’s F-15 and F-16 fighters.
GKN Aerospace Chem-Tronics Inc. in El Cajon, CA received $18.8 million firm fixed price contract to provide for Nozzle Support of Pratt & Whitney’s F100-PW-220 engine. The contract covers full support for the basic year, 644 for the first option year, and 453 for the second option year. Solicitation began March 2005 and negotiations were completed May 2005 (FA8104-05-D-0033).
Dynamic Gunver Technologies in Manchester, CT received a $5.3 million firm fixed price contract to provide for 3,206 each Divergent Nozzle Segments in support of the F100-PW-220 and F100-PW-220E engines. (FA8104-05-D-0030-0001).
