Pumpin’ Iron(click to view larger) Kiewit Building Group in Honolulu, HI won a $24.4 million firm-fixed-price contract for the construction of a fitness center at the Naval Station Pearl Harbor. A new paved parking area with new access driveways, landscaping, and the demolition of 4 existing building structures are also included in this project. Kiewit will performed the work in Oahu, HI and expects to complete the facility by November 2011. This contract was competitively procured via the Navy Electronic Commerce Online website, with 6 proposals received by the Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Pacific in Pearl Harbor (N62742-09-C-1304).
