$347M in Natural Gas Contracts

In recent days, the USA’s Defense Energy Support Center (DESC) in Fort Belvoir, VA has issued a series of fixed-price with economic-price-adjustment contracts for Direct Supply Natural Gas for U.S. defense and civilian agencies. There were 132 proposals solicited and 29 companies responded. Performance completion date is Sept. 30, 2008.
As one may infer from the contract numbering and the frequent practice of apportioning contracts among all respondents, there are additional contracts in this area. DID offers this recent subset worth $347 million as a representative sample, but we will not be covering all future contracts in this area.
Infinite Energy, Inc. in Gainesville, FL won a maximum $16.8 million contract for Natural Gas for Navy, and Air Force. Other locations of performance are Tyndall AFB, Jacksonville, Naval Station Mayport, Mac Dill AFB, and Coastal Systems Station in FL (SP0600-05-D-7501).
Interconn Resources, Inc. in Birmingham, AL won a maximum $9.9 million contract for Direct Supply Natural Gas for Air Force and Federal Civilian Agencies. Other locations of performance are Patrick AFB, John F. Kennedy Space Center, and Cape Canaveral, FL (SP0600-05-D-7504).
Oneok Energy Marketing Co. in Topeka, KS won a maximum $9.3 million contract for Direct Supply Natural Gas for Federal Civilian Agencies. Other location of performance is Pantex Plant, TX (SP0600-05-D-7505).
Shell Energy Services Co. LLC in Houston, TX won a maximum $24.2 million contract for Direct Supply Natural Gas for Army, Navy, Air Force, and federal civilian agencies. Other locations of performance are various locations throughout GA (SP0600-05-D-7507).
BP Energy Co. in Irvine, CA won a maximum $99.7 million contract for Direct Supply Natural Gas for Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and federal civilian agencies. Other locations of performance are various locations throughout CA (SP0600-05-D-7508).
Small business qualifier Wasatch Energy LLC in North Salt Lake, UT won a maximum $60 million contract for Natural Gas for Army, and Air Force. Other location of performance is Nellis, AFB, NV (SP0600-05-D-7512).
National Gas Distributors in Fayetteville, NC won a maximum $16.1 million contract for Direct Supply Natural Gas for Marine Corps and Federal Civilian Agencies. Other locations of performance are Camp Lejeune, and Butner, NC (SP0600-05-D-7513).
Sempra Energy Trading Corp. in Stamford, CT won a maximum $26.5 million contract for natural gas for federal civilian agencies. The other location of performance is Oakridge, TN (SP0600-05-D-7514).
Coral Energy Resources, L.P. in San Diego, CA won a maximum $42.3 million contract for Direct Supply Natural Gas for Federal Civilian Agencies. Other locations of performance are Kirtland AFB, and Los Alamos, NM (SP0600-05-D-7516).
Atmos Energy Marketing, LLC, Houston, Texas, won a maximum $18.4 million contract for natural gas for Army, Navy, and other federal civilian agencies. Other location of performance is Nashville, Tenn., Fort Polk, La., Pensacola, FL (SP0600-05-D-7517).
Seminole Energy Services LLC in Tulsa, OK won a maximum $23.8 million contract for Direct Supply Natural Gas for the Army. Other locations of performance are McAlester AAP and Fort Sill, OK (SP0600-05-D-7519).
