AM General LLC in Mishawaka, IN received a maximum $67 million firm-fixed-price contract for services and part support for 1,098 National Stock Numbers (NSNs) in support of the HMMWV Recap program to completely rebuild HMMWVs for the US Army. That program currently in place at Red River Army Depot, Letterkenny Army Depot and Maine Military Authority, and will be in existence until 2011. The HMMWV will remain a primary system for the duration of Operations Iraqi Freedom/ Enduring Freedom (OIF/ OEF). DSCC will continue the focus on procuring parts needed for operational requirements and special maintenance programs that support the HMMWV. He also notes that approximately 14 HMMWV RESET repair programs are currently ongoing to bring deployed HMMWVs back to pre-combat operational capability (TM -10120 standards), “in order to ensure worldwide troop readiness for expeditious re-deployment in current and future operations.” Work will be performed in Mishawaka, IN; Chambersburg, PA; and Texarkana, TX.
