The Miller/Watts Constructors-Pave Tech joint venture in Richmond, CA received firm-fixed price Task Order 0001 at $6.8 million under an indefinite-delivery indefinite-quantity multiple-award construction contract for airfield repair at Naval Air Station, North Island. Four proposals were received for this task order. Work will be performed in Coronado, CA and is expected to be complete by May 2006.
The basic contract was competitively procured via the NAVFAC e-solicitation website with six proposals received and award made on May 12, 2004. The total contract amount for each contractor is not to exceed $50 million (base period and four option years) bringing the cumulative total for all four contracts to $200 million. The multiple contractors (four in number) may compete for task orders under the terms and conditions of the existing contract.
The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Southwest Division in San Diego, CA issued the contract (N68711-04-D-3035). A similar $300 million total contract with competitive task orders was issued by NFEC SW in late March 2005.
