$6M to Support C-130 Navigation Systems

Smiths Aerospace in Grand Rapids, MI received a $6 million firm-fixed-price contract as part of a contractor logistics support program supporting approximately 600 C-130 Hercules aircraft deployed worldwide. This contract covers the depot repair, engineering analyses, and technical support required to maintain the operational integrity and logistics supportability of the C-130's self-contained navigation system. Solicitation began February 2005, negotiations were completed March 2005, and work will be complete by December 2005. The Headquarters Warner Robins Air Logistics Center at Robins Air Force Base, GA issued the contract (FA8504-05-C-0002).
