Simulators have become key to maintaining proficiency with aircraft, ship systems, and even infantry weapons, without firing expensive equipment, incurring expensive flight costs, or having to be on board a ship when you’re in the 2nd crew.
The Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division in Orlando, FL recently awarded up to $80 million in indefinite-delivery/ indefinite-quantity multiple-award contracts. They cover services in support of over 900 training simulators for the Navy, and for non-Navy and Foreign Military Sales customers. Services will include contractor operation and maintenance; contract instruction; training device modifications; training device relocations; training system management; in-service engineering office support; spares/product support; and other related trainer support services…
Work will be performed in various locations inside and outside the U.S., until July 2015, and $141,918 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year, on Sept 30/10. These contracts were solicited via a multiple award electronic request for proposals as a 100% small business set-aside, with 8 offers received.
