Northrop Grumman Information Technology of McLean, VA received an $8M cost reimbursable, cost-plus fixed-fee contract to support novel and diverse applications in optical supercomputing. The contractor will be fully responsible for all necessary expenditures, from hardware and facilities to travel and services required by the contractor’s Dec. 20, 2004statement of work: “Air Force Maui Optical and Supercomputing Site Technical Support.” Northrop Grumman Information Technology in Albuquerque, NM will be the primary locus of work, which will be complete by June 2010. Solicitation began in September 2004, and negotiations were completed in February 2005. The Det 8 Air Force Research Laboratory at Kirtland Air Force Base, NM issued the contract (FA9451-04-C-0158).
