Korte to Build U.S. Armed Forces Reserve Center in Round Rock, TX

The Korte Company in St. Louis, MO won a $23.7 million firm-fixed-price contract for the design and construction of an U.S. armed forces reserve center complex in Round Rock, Texas. Korte expects to complete the facility by July 01/11. For this contract, 46 bids were solicited with 5 bids received by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Louisville District (W912QR-09-C-0030).

The project consists of four buildings:

* training center accommodating 1,000 people;
* vehicle maintenance building
* organizational unit storage
* unheated storage building

Supporting facilities include site preparation, paving, fencing, covered wash rack, anti-terrorism/force protection measures, privately owned vehicle and military equipment parking, and extension of utilities to serve the project.
