SPAWAR Awards L-3 $39M Order for US Navy C4ISR, C2 Support

Space and Naval Warfare Systems (SPAWAR) Center Atlantic, Charleston, SC awarded a a $39 million modification to a previously awarded indefinite-delivery/ indefinite-quantity cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to L-3 Services in Mount Laurel, NJ for integrated engineering support services for US Navy C4ISR and C2 systems. This contract includes options which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of the contract to an estimated $269 million. The original contract (N65236-04-D-6842) was awarded in 2004 to Titan Corp., which L-3 acquired in 2005. L-3 will perform the work in Charleston, SC (40%); Norfolk, VA (40%); San Diego (10%); and Washington, DC (10%), and expects to complete it by September 2010. The original contract was competitively procured with proposals solicited via the FedBizOpps Web site and the SPAWAR E-Commerce Central Web site, with 7 offers received by the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic in Charleston, SC.
