Small business qualifier CCI in Anchorage, AK received a not to exceed $30 million firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery job order contract for construction, alteration, repair and short-term facilities maintenance services at naval installations in the Northern New England area. The total contract amount includes a base period and four one-year options, with a guaranteed minimum of $10,000. DID has noticed a definite pattern with Alaska firms, who receive a very strong share of defense-related infrastructure jobs all over the continental USA as a result of small business and native-owned business set asides. This particular contract was procured through sole source negotiations under 13 CFR 124.506(b) and in accordance with Small Business Administration acceptance letter dated 28 March 2005. Work will be performed at Department of Navy installations located in Maine (80%), New Hampshire (10%), and Vermont (10%), and work is expected to be completed August 2006 (August 2012 with options). The Engineering Field Activity Northeast, Naval Facilities Engineering Command in Lester, PA issued the contract (N62472-05-D-7510).
