Persistently Paving Pensacola

Back on August 5, 2005, DID noted that APAC-SOUTHEAST Inc.’s Gulf Coast Division in Pensacola, FL received a contract for the installation and repair of asphalt and concrete pavement within a 125-mile radius of Naval Air Station (NAS) Pensacola. This contract contains an option that, if exercised, will bring the cumulative value of this contact to a not-to-exceed value of $158.1 million. Now the company is being awarded an additional $8.9 million modification under a combination firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract (N62467-05-D-3135).

Work will be performed in Pensacola, FL, and is expected to be complete by August 2006 (August 2009 with options). The basic contract was competitively procured via the NAVFAC e-solicitation website with one offer received and award made on August 3, 2005. The Resident Officer in Charge of Construction, Naval Facilities Engineering Command Field Office, Pensacola, FL issued the contract.
