Thales, Alcatel Take French $1.3 Billion Euro Project

French procurement agency DGA awarded Thales and its subcontractor Alcatel a 1.3 billion euro contract for the ground components of the French military's satellite communications system. The contract is scheduled to run for 15 years. Alcatel is set to manage 30 percent of the project. CBS MarketWatch reports.
