Lightforce USA Inc. subsidiary Nightforce Optics in Orofino, ID received a maximum $10.8 million indefinite-delivery/ indefinite-quantity contract for Family of Rifle Day scope sizes 1-4x24, 2.5-10x24, 3.5-15x50, and 5.5-22x56, to support the Unites States Special Operations Command over the next 5 years. Note that Lightforce USA is in turn a subsidiary of Lightforce AUS. The contract is for a minimum 40/ maximum 7,700 Day scopes and associated data. Work will be performed in Orofino, ID and is expected to be complete by July 2010. This contract was competitively procured and advertised via the Internet, with one offer received. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division in Crane, IN issued the contract (N00164-05-D-8558).
