Small business qualifier Spensieri Painting LLC in Syracuse, NY received a $16.4 million firm-fixed-price contract for repairs to the Trident Refit Facility Drydock located at Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay. Repairs include the replacement of the roof expansion joint, sealing the roof with an elastomeric coating, refurbishing the gutter systems, replacement of structural steel coatings, replacement of bolts, replacement of steel plates, replacement of catwalks, and replacement of stairs. Work will be performed in Kings Bay, Ga., and is expected to be completed by August 2007. This contract was competitively procured via the NAVFAC e-solicitation website with four proposals received by the Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Engineering Field Activity Southeast in Jacksonville, FL (N69272-06-C-0002).
